Indeginous and Cultural ASTRO Camping Night with Serowe village elders
We hosted an Indigenous and Cultural ASTRO Camping Night to help gain a cultural understanding of the austromy world by consulting elders on how they interpret the main sky objectives like the moon,stars and planets. This Camp was held under the Theme “Revisiting Setswana Cultural Astronomy“ and our Mission was “To Collect Setswana Cultural Insight of the sky and how our fore fathers interpreted the sky” .During this Camp, we got to know how important are these objects in their daily life activities such as ploughing and it was a great experience on how the event turned out since we go to learn a during the cultural astro camping night in Serowe and we are planning on having more on different villages with the elders.
